It started back in the mid 50’s, when Joel Skinner’s dad, L.W. Skinner was painting in the Buffalo Missouri area. He was a well known and very good painter. So Joel had a great teacher.

When Joel’s father retired in 1997 he started 2^nd Generation Painting. His father was the first generation, then he the 2^nd generation. Now Joel’s two sons, the third generation, are part of The 2^nd Generation Painting business.

Joel always provided the best workmanship available in Southwest Missouri and used superior paint products. Part of his excellent job performance came about because he had an eye for top quality products which he was quick to recommend to his customers. He always uses and recommends the best products for the job. Joel was pleased to discover such a paint product, Wienert Paint, developed by an Engineer named Les Wienert.

Back in 1976 Wienert Paint was introduced into Southwest Missouri when Lester A. Wienert, an engineer, formulated new and improved paints for the industry. Les founded Wienert Mfg. Co. He located a manufacturer to blend his proprietary private label paint products and ship them to his Louisburg, Missouri facility. Wienert paint products became known for quality and long life and grew in popularity with area residents, businesses, farmers, and ranchers. He created a premium quality residential paint, a premium quality commercial paint, and a premium quality barn pain, and a premium quality galvanized roof paint for farmers. He even developed a rusty roof reclamation paint. Lester A. Wienert developed this superior quality extremely flexible paint that is superior in every way. He spent 50 years testing and proving his paint. He performed 58,000 exterior paint panel tests including rusting galvanized roofing. His success became apparent in a product with superior qualities including iron corrosion resistance, advance adhesion to wood and metals including galvanized steel roofing and siding. Other benefits will be color retention-UV resistance, fungal algae resistance, and even some fire resistance.

So, Lester’s Wienert Manufacturing introduced several lines a high quality industrial, commercial, residential, and farm and ranch paints to local business, farm and home owners in Buffalo, Mo. Dallas County Mo., and throughout the rest of Southwest Missouri.

Along the way Joel Skinner, of 2^nd Generation Painting, discovered Wienert Mfg. Co paints. After examining the product specifications, he began using them on commercial and farm and home jobs. He quickly found them to be are superior in both application and performance. He found this paint so good he became very interested in Wienert Paints and recently purchased Wienert Paints Location and all rights to Wienert Paints. Joel wanted to create and sell The Best Paint for Any Paint Job, Wienert Paints.
